STEFAN ZDRAVESKI
Photographer | Videographer | Composer | Saxophonist

Stefan Zdraveski is a multidisciplinary artist working at the crossroads of visual and sonic storytelling. Born in Bitola, North Macedonia, and now based between Bulgaria and the wider European creative scene, he blends photography, videography, and music composition into a single expressive language.

With formal training in clarinet and saxophone from the State Music School “Toše Proeski” in Bitola, Stefan began his artistic path through sound. Over time, his creative curiosity led him beyond music into theatre, image-making, and visual narrative. Today, his work bridges the worlds of theatre composition and stage photography, where rhythm, light, and movement meet in a shared emotional space.

As a photographer and videographer, Stefan Zdraveski works full-time at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia, Bulgaria. His role there blends artistic vision with documentary precision, capturing the essence of performance, emotion, and stagecraft from behind the lens.
Stefan’s photographic work focuses on the atmosphere of theatre — the quiet details, the interplay of light and shadow, and the subtle gestures that define a story beyond words. His videography complements this sensitivity, translating movement and sound into carefully composed visual narratives.
Through his lens, Stefan seeks not only to record but to interpret — finding rhythm, emotion, and truth within each frame. His images and films reflect a deep understanding of theatrical energy, shaped by his own background as a musician and composer.
As a composer and saxophonist, Stefan has written and produced original music for numerous stage productions. His soundscapes often weave live instrumentation with cinematic and experimental textures, reflecting his roots in jazz and contemporary performance.
Stefan is also a co-founder of SPAM Studios, a creative collective focused on theatre, film, and interdisciplinary art. His projects often blur the lines between documentation and creation — between seeing and hearing — embodying his belief that every image has a rhythm and every sound has a shape.
Through his work, Stefan Zdraveski continues to explore the shared pulse of image and sound, crafting immersive worlds where stories breathe through both lens and melody.
