The play “Such Things Are Not Said” gives a voice to a generation raised between fear and the need to be heard. Ana, a young TV producer, revisits her past, trying to pinpoint the moment when her life changed. After a childhood in which she saw herself as a beautiful donut, she enters an adolescence full of disappointments, ridicule, and an early encounter with hypocrisy – a period of emotional and sexual maturation that pushes her to the brink of despair. Ana, however, chooses life; her boyfriend does not. She decides to share her experience with others, addressing topics that are still considered difficult to discuss today, exploring the complex relationships between mother and daughter, love and manipulation, abuse, and shame.
